【Information Sharing】2026 3rd International NanoOlympiad (INO) – Taiwan Preliminary Selection

Dear all,

Taiwan will host the 2026 3rd International NanoOlympiad (INO). To select outstanding teams with innovation potential and strong international competitiveness, the organizing committee will hold the Taiwan Preliminary Selection, adopting an open application and multi-stage selection process. Winning teams will represent Taiwan in the international competition.

This year’s theme is “Nanobiotechnology and Health.” The event is co-organized by National Tsing Hua University, Academia Sinica, and the Taiwan Nanotechnology Association. Attached are the event overview and poster.

The competition encourages participating teams to propose original and application-oriented research concepts or design projects. It focuses on the applications of nanotechnology in healthcare, including but not limited to the following areas:

  1. Nanodrug delivery and controlled release
  2. Nanosensing and detection technologies
  3. Applications of nanomaterials in medical devices and tissue engineering
  4. Impacts of nanobiotechnology on sustainable health
  5. Nanobionic technologies in biomedical applications
  6. Applications of AI and big data in nanobiomedical fields

Eligibility and Team Composition
• Participants: Master’s and Ph.D. students currently enrolled in Taiwanese universities.
• Team composition: Up to 4 students and up to 2 advisors.
• Students must be capable of delivering presentations and participating in Q&A in English.
• Advisors may be academic faculty members, researchers, or industry professionals.
• Cross-university, cross-department, and cross-disciplinary teams are highly encouraged.
